Why do I need to host my software?

What’s the difference between hosting my software, and using Sage Drive?
Sage Drive still requires you to install Sage 50 Accounts, and all it’s supporting software, on your machine and any other machine you want to access it on. With one our of cloud servers, you just need one link to access everything.
Sage Drive can also regularly become de-synchronised from the host, leading to data not pulling through from one machine to the next, whether this is because of connectivity issues or because a machine is turned off. With 50 in the Cloud, all your data is accessed by everyone, in the same place, meaning when your colleague posts a transaction, you’ll see it right away.
Ultimately Sage Drive still falls back to a single point of failure, which isn’t what you want in an always connected world. 50 In The Cloud makes sure you and your colleagues are always on the same page.
Do I need to use the latest version of Sage?
No, we can help you host many different versions of Sage 50 Accounts, including those no longer officially supported by Sage (if needed for archiving purposes for example) and we can also help you move to a newer version if you’re having trouble.
Can I access the cloud server from more than one place

We can also help you configure a local network share, allowing you to carry out a backup from Sage 50 on our server, directly to your own off-cloud PC or storage media should you desire.
How do I do software updates?
As 50 In The Cloud is a fully managed solution, we take the headache of updating your software out of your hands.
All you need to do is drop us a ticket to let us know you want to update, and then sit back and get on with your work; we’ll handle the rest.
Where is my data stored?
All your data hosted with 50 In The Cloud in stored in UK based data-centres. The same goes for your backups too.
All the data-centres we use are ISO27001 certified and are audited annually, meaning you can rest easy knowing your data is in the right hands.
Do I need to upgrade my computer?
Part of the beauty of hosted solutions is that all the processing is done on the server side, almost all modern devices with an internet connection are capable of accessing our hosted servers, from iPads to 2-in-1s, from desktops to laptops.
